We all write individually and bring tunes in and jam on them, so there are a lot of different aesthetics coming together. We're all interested in slightly different genres of music, but the overarching theme is hip-hop and jazz… Fusion hip-hop is definitely the vibe.

Imagine the musical equivalent of incense – heady, evocative and mystical. Once the best-kept secret in Melbourne, Australia, the 30/70 collective are beguiling fans globally with their splendidly sensory cosmic jazz grooves. The new fam took their name from the postcode of Northcote, a bohemian inner-suburb.30/70 have developed a hybrid sound from spiritual jazz, Afrobeat, acid-funk, boom-bap, neo-soul, glitch-hop, electro-boogie and psychedelia.. 30/70 is less of a 'band' than a community, with five key members: Allysha Joy (lead vocals), Ziggy Zeitgeist (drums), Henry Hicks (bass), Thhomas Mansfield (guitar/synths), and Jarrod Chase (Fender Rhodes). The community was conceived by housemates Ziggy, Henry and Thhomas, who were vibing to hip-hop, jamming and iInitially, cutting instrumental beats. The family expanded as they befriended Jarrod and soul sister/poet MC Allysha through Melbourne's buoyant jazz and soul scene.

Having discovered the Melbourne based band at the tail end of 2015, Bradley quickly became a huge fan of the 30/70 sound through their debut album COLD RADDISH COMA.
Fast-forward 2 years, 4 summers in 2 hemispheres and many wonderful moments soundtracked to their spiritual jazz influenced texttures, dilla era beats and neo-soul melodies and we have a serious collaboration on our hands.
