Special Feelings

This project is the brain child of Poli-Pearl and Naomi Robison. The duo share a vision and work together to create and compose apocalyptic jazz / fusion music with  selected artists, which make up the collective. “We have many influences from many genres and that's why we describe our music as fusion music”

“We come up with demo beats, which we create either together or separately and then we bring this to the collective. We enjoy collaborating with cats who interpret our music (with our guidance). The people we collaborate with are all musicians that we respect and they all have something unique to bring to the tracks”. 

Being originally Based in Boorloo (Perth) allowed the duo to develop a unique sound. They then relocated and are currently based in Naarm (Melbourne), where they have started to collaborate with musicians based there.

“We would like pay respect to the roots of jazz and world music. We’d also express our gratitude being apart of the future of music. We extend our gratitude to the original people of the lands we create on, such as, the the Whadjuk Noongar people of the Noongar Nation and the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We’d also like to pay our deepest respects to any first nations/colonised listeners of the world.”
