Saul Break New Ground With Their Latest Single, ‘Flowers’, Featuring the Esteemed Talents of Lex Amor
The run up to Saul’s latest project has promised new faces and names to emerge through an ongoing process of collaboration. In the case of their second single, the inventive production duo have turned to the prowess of London’s fastest moving MC, Lex Amor.
On Flowers, Lex’s laid back, spoken style is accompanied by a slowed down G-Funk-inspired instrumental. The song shimmers with summery reflections, a lament of years passed and an optimistic nod to the future. Lex effortlessly switches between rhythmical flows to hypnotic layered melodies, sitting on top of the colourful production laid down by Sual.
With an illustrious list of collaborators already to her name (such as Kojey Radical, Wulu, George Riley and Ego Ella Mae) and sell out shows across the country, Lex shows us why she’s been receiving this creative attention with her melancholic but utterly hopeful vocal performance.
