The last 10 years have been such a rollercoaster that we barely got chance to slow down and take stock. If there's one thing this global slowdown has taught us, it's that we actually have a huge amount of experience to share, a wealth of expertise to impart upon our patrons, one hell of a back catalogue to dip into and an Aladdin's cave of goodies to treat you with....
This is a bold new step for us and we're not claiming to have it all perfectly figured out from the off. We think we've got a tremendous initial offering but we want this project to grow and evolve to fit the needs of our supporters. Two way feedback will be key and we're just as excited to get going as we are to see how this initiative develops over time.
We want to take this period of reflection and consolidation as an opportunity to invite you into our world. This is our chance to share our combined knowledge, to open the door to the inner workings of Rhythm Section - and keep it open. This is not a short term solution, but a long term plan that will only grow in terms of benefits and scope, evolving to fit your needs.
For us, as a collective, it means we can have a more direct contact with a core group of fans and creatives. We want this project to be a two way exchange, our aim is to build a team of Patrons who we can approach for feedback & advice to help us grow as mentors and creators.
It goes without saying that this initiative will also help us stay afloat during these increasingly perilous financial times. We are a fiercely independent movement in a world of corporate collabs and sponsorships - and we wish to keep that way for a long time to come, gigs or no gigs!
We also want to acknowledge that there's a lot of individuals and companies who are in a much more dire situation than we are. This is why we'll be donating 15% of all our Patreon income to a different charitable cause every month - we'll consult members directly as to what platforms they recommend we contribute to.
Even though our basic membership deals are affordable - we also plan to offer workshops and mentorship to lower income and underrepresented people for free. This will be rolled out over the coming months as we settle into a new space and adjust to this new iniative.

Who are we?
Rhythm Section was founded by Bradley Zero back in 2009 as a local radio show and has steadily grown to be a global force in underground music across the spectrum, from Jazz to Techno and everything in between.
Despite being only a small team of 4 core members, over the years, we've gained huge amounts of experience in the music industry, from both behind the scenes and under the spotlight.
Rhythm Section has hosted Events across 4 continents, been consistently voted as the Top 10 labels in the world by the likes of RA, Worldwide awards & Mixmag and our team members and alumni have hosted shows and held positions across platforms such as BBC Radio 1, Worldwide Fm, Boiler Room, NTS, Young Turks, Phonica Records, BBC Asian Network, Sounds of the Universe and many more globally recognised platforms....
Chances are - if you're involved in any aspect of the music business, we have the knowledge, equipment and skills you need to succeed, and we're more than willing to share them. In our years of working on the label and events, we've found much joy in giving people a leg up and contributing to the scene - allowing it to flourish beyond our wildest dreams.Our Patreon scheme is a natural evolution of our raison d'etre.
